Notes Philosophy - Buddha - Dhammapada

Introduction

The arrows at the top and bottom of the pages have these meanings:

Left arrow: Previous file in the series
Right arrow: Next file in the series
Up arrow: One level up
Down arrow: To the notes in the text; to the text in the notes

The rest of the introduction to this edition of the Dhammapada is still to be written but I will remark that:

  • there are no notes as yet
  • the translation is Max Müller's
  • I used the Project Gutenberg version of this translation but re-edited it to a one chapter/one file format
  • although the Dhammapada is one of the classics of Theravada Buddhism it is a collection of sayings assembled after the Buddha's death
