DSM-5: The trailer for the DSM-5 of the APA, a full subsidiary of Uranus Corp

"It is impossible for someone to lie unless he thinks he knows the truth. Producing bullshit requires no such conviction. A person who lies is thereby responding to the truth, and he is to that extent respectful of it. When an honest man speaks, he says only what he believes to be true; and for the liar, it is correspondingly indispensable that he considers his statements to be false. For the bullshitter, however, all these bets are off: he is neither on the side of the true nor on the side of the false. His eye is not on the facts at all, as the eyes of the honest man and of the liar are, except insofar as they may be pertinent to his interest in getting away with what he says. He does not care whether the things he says describe reality correctly. He just picks them out, or makes them up, to suit his purpose."

My bolding and coloring.

There’s no sense in simply revising the psychiatrist’s diagnostic bible: it will need to be totally replaced to fit the emerging science…

Nick Craddock, professor of psychiatry at the Institute of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences at Cardiff University School of Medicine, quoted on
Dx Revision Watch

There were some typos in my DSM-5: A good plan for the DSM-5 as was kindly pointed out by a correspondent, and while thinking about this and about the APA and its prose-style I suddenly realized - in A Moment Of Pure ZenTM - that I already have seen the One And Only True Trailer for the DSM-5 and for the APA, that company that is

and that undoubtedly must be a full subsidiary of Uranus Corp, "where things come out a little differently", now also Specialists In Psychiatry, shrink-wrapped or on demand, and the proud inventors of Brown25, an APA evidence-based medical scientific discovery of major importance for human well-being, health and happiness (*):

The truth, all the truth, and nothing but the truth about the DSM-5

(*) O dear! (It's called "satire", Virginia dear.) Actually, it is from The Groove Tube, which is well worth watching: You'll like it if you like Monty Python.

Corrections, if any are necessary, have to be made later.

 As an aside:

Warning against KompoZer 08.3(b): Having recommended it earlier, and having run once again into hours of difficulties and problems with it:

This KompoZer has serious bugs in the handling of the cursor inside windows and also in saving files from tabbed windows: It can overwrite entirely the wrong file with another (of the same name, such as "index.html", but from a different directory) without any warning, notification or back-up. It also has serious difficulties copy/paste: What you paste may not show up where you attempted to paste it, namely because it has been pasted somewhere in another open tab.

If you don't want this: Avoid it. It should be removed as downloadable file: Far too bugged for safe usage.
