MM on ME

For removal by moderators, to show the sickness...

Hi, just to say sorry I failed to respond by EM within the 'memorial' period, a stressful one for you, as I now understand. Perhaps some small regrets over intervening, I could have tried 'do nothing' perhaps, but I will reflect on this.

Would it be fair to say: as a humane being, spiritual healing of mm remains impossible in the absence of honest understanding of history? The honour of such a position appears breathtaking to me. I can but respect that.

Also, I had some strange thoughts yesterday...we should probably discuss circumcision and the potential uses of what has been removed - privately, preferably...a sore point...

All the best,

Mark

Nu weten we hoe ver we ernaast zaten.

Now we know how mistaken we were then. That The Netherlands only counted a handful of resistance fighters while the police, that the railways and the bureaucracy had collaborated with great accuracy working hard for the Nazis. 20.000 Dutchmen had freely become members of the SS. The NSB (Dutch political party in imitation of Hitler and Mussolini - MM) had 100.000 members. With that knowledge, Liberation Day takes a different aspect. What does a country have festivities about if it has been destroyed so much and resisted so little against repression?
